Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a law today allowing local Hatzalah organizations to transport patients directly to hospitals, helping save Jewish lives.
Until now, local Hatzalah units were not permitted to transport patients to hospitals and were required to wait for municipal emergency agencies to arrive and take over patient transport.
This afternoon, DeSantis signed the law at a Beis Medrash in the town of Bal Harbour, Florida, surrounded by local Jewish community leaders.
