A senior official in the Justice Department is set to resign following revelations by The New York Times that the Justice Department, under William Barr, collected information on high ranking Democratic members of Congress and their families, as well as reporters from media outlets that were viewed as hostile by former President Donald Trump, due to their negative coverage of him.
The scandal surrounding the requested information continues to grow as more individuals are discovering that their information was also obtained by the Justice Department.
The New York Times also revealed today that the Justice Department subpoenaed the phone account of former White House Counsel under Trump, Don McGahn.
