Large fights broke out in the Pakistani Parliament when opposition lawmakers clashed with members of the ruling party.
The clashes lasted several minutes while the Speaker of Parliament was presenting a new budget plan.
One person was injured during the fighting, and the Speaker expelled seven lawmakers due to their involvement in the incident.
Papers and other objects were thrown across the chamber from one side to the other, as shouting and heated exchanges were heard from both sides. Other lawmakers remained seated in shock, unable to believe that the country’s parliament had turned into a battleground.
